2022 Softball Army camp I

Camp Clarification

Each camper will receive personalized teaching from the coaching staff. Through specialized stations and game contest, the army camp will focus on the evolution of individual player fundamentals equally well as team concepts. The Sacramento State softball camps focus on providing teaching in proper techniques of striking, bunting, base running, sliding, stealing, fielding, throwing, position play, squad strategies, mental strategies and more. For optimal learning, campers will exist dissever into beginner and advanced groups based on skill level.

Campers will too receive a camp document and t-shirt

Enrollment is limited to 70 participants, so reserve a spot early on!

Fees and Information

Early-Bird Discount Fee: $200 (per military camp) (Registration must be received one week prior to camp date)Group/Squad Rate (five or more): $190 per person (per campsite) *All group reservations must be fabricated by calling (916) 278-7965 or east-mailing danielle.kaminaka@csus.edu a minimum of ane calendar week prior to the army camp to

About the camp

  • Improve Your Defence: Learn how to play winning defense both as an individual and as a team. Larn rundowns, the transition game, various bunt defenses and more.
  • Improve Your Swing: Acquire proper techniques of hitting, bunting, running, slap, how to work the strike zone and how to ready for your side by side at-bat. See your swing on videotape and larn ways to meliorate your mechanics.

Camp Directors

Lori Perez

Lori Perez is in her 9th flavor equally head motorbus at Sacramento Country, and 18th on the Hornets' coaching staff. No stranger to Hornet softball, Perez has 22 years of experience at Sacramento Land, including iv
seasons every bit a role player (1999-02), 9 years every bit an assistant coach (2005-13), and nine seasons as the head coach (2014-pres.). Perez'southward vision for the program became reality in 2018 when the Hornets won both the Large Sky Briefing'south regular season and tournament championships while qualifying for the NCAA Tournament

V icky Rios

Vicky Rios currently in her fifth flavour with the Hornets. After 1 yr equally banana coach, she was elevated to associate head coach and has spent the past 4 years in that capacity. With 22 years of collegiate coaching feel and over 24 years as a professional person softball teacher, Rios is heavily involved with coaching the hitters and defence, as well as recruiting and scouting. Rios has been a private hitting and defense instructor in the Sacramento area, and her students have played in numerous Div. I conferences

D anielle Kaminaka

Danielle Kaminaka is in her 9th season at Sacramento State as assistant autobus, and has fifteen years of collegiate coaching experience. Kaminaka is heavily involved with coaching the hitters while too working with the infielders, overseeing the team's academics and youth camps, and assisting with recruiting. She helped coach the Hornets to Big Heaven Conference regular flavor and tournament championships in 2018. Kaminaka was a four-year starting 3rd baseman at Loyola Marymount (2002-05), and had her number retired.

What to Bring

Delight bring your own snack. In addition, bring your glove, cleats and a bat. Be certain to put your proper name on your equipment because others may bring the same kind of gear.

Waiver Information
